How ShiftAny Audio works
Choose a tool and add your audio
Drop your files onto the page, pick them from your device or Google Drive, or record with your microphone. Your browser reads them locally: there is no upload step and no account to create.
Your browser does the processing
Your browser decodes the audio, SH Core applies the effects in an AudioWorklet, and the MP3 encoder (LAME compiled to WebAssembly) runs in a Web Worker, so the page stays responsive.
Listen and download the result
Preview the result before you save it. The new file is created in your device’s memory and goes straight to your downloads, or to your own Google Drive if you ask for it.
Frequently asked questions
Is ShiftAny Audio really free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no sign-up, no daily quota and no watermark or jingle added to your audio. The project is supported by voluntary donations on Ko-fi.
How can I check that my audio never leaves my device?
Open your browser’s developer tools (F12), go to the Network tab and process a file. You will see the page load its own code, but no request carrying your audio.
What is SH Core?
It is ShiftAny’s own audio engine: the equalizer, compressor, de-esser, limiter, resampler and LUFS meter. The same code runs when you listen and when you export, so what you hear is exactly what you download, and it has been validated against reference tools such as SoX and ffmpeg.
Which audio formats can I open and save?
You can open MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A and AAC, plus the audio track of MP4, WebM and MOV videos, as long as your browser can decode them. The tools save MP3 and WAV, and “WAV to FLAC” saves lossless FLAC.
Do the tools work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. They run in any up-to-date browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS, with nothing to install. Long recordings are processed faster on a computer.
