ShiftAny servers: none
  • Your files travel straight between Google and your browser. They never touch a server of ours, because we don’t have any.
  • Processing runs on your device, exactly as it does with a file from your computer.
  • The app can only access the files you pick and the ones it saves to your Drive. Never the rest.
  • Access expires after one hour and is never stored. This browser only remembers your name and email so you can reconnect in one click; you can disconnect at any time.

How to use “OGG to MP3”

  1. Add the OGG files you want to turn into MP3: you can drop several at once.
  2. Choose the quality in kbps: at 128, an OGG music file sounds practically the same.
  3. Click “Convert to MP3” and wait while each OGG is processed.
  4. Download each MP3 on its own, or all your converted OGG files in a ZIP.

From OGG to MP3: what to expect

OGG is an open container that usually carries Vorbis or Opus audio. Your browser decodes it and the tool saves it as MP3. If your browser cannot read OGG, the file will not open: in that case, try Chrome, Edge or Firefox.

Are my files uploaded?

No. ShiftAny Audio processes your audio directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.

Limits and metadata

ShiftAny sets no duration or size limits: the real ceiling is your device’s memory, because the audio is decompressed to be processed and an hour of stereo takes more than 1 GB. With very long files, we warn you before loading them. The new file contains only the audio: tags (title, artist, cover art) are not copied.

Frequently asked questions

Does it accept OGG with Opus?

Yes, as long as your browser decodes it; Opus is processed at 48 kHz.

Why does my OGG give an error?

It may be damaged, or your browser may not support that codec. This is more common in older versions of Safari.

Why convert an OGG to MP3?

OGG sounds great, but some car stereos, speakers and older programs cannot open it. Virtually any device plays MP3.
