- Your files travel straight between Google and your browser. They never touch a server of ours, because we don’t have any.
- Processing runs on your device, exactly as it does with a file from your computer.
- The app can only access the files you pick and the ones it saves to your Drive. Never the rest.
- Access expires after one hour and is never stored. This browser only remembers your name and email so you can reconnect in one click; you can disconnect at any time.

How to use “Fade In and Fade Out”
- Add the audio files you want to fade.
- Set the length of the fade-in and the fade-out (0 to skip one of them).
- Choose the curve and click “Listen” to hear the start and the end.
- Choose MP3 or WAV, click “Apply fades” and download the result.
Fade length and curve
The fade-in raises the volume from silence to the original level, and the fade-out lowers it to silence, equally on every channel. The curve changes how it is perceived: logarithmic (the usual choice for music) moves evenly for the ear; smooth has no corners at the start or end and suits speech; linear concentrates the change at the beginning. If the audio is shorter than both fades together, they are shortened proportionally. The rest of the audio is left untouched.
Are my files uploaded?
No. ShiftAny Audio processes your audio directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.
Limits and metadata
ShiftAny sets no duration or size limits: the real ceiling is your device’s memory, because the audio is decompressed to be processed and an hour of stereo takes more than 1 GB. With very long files, we warn you before loading them. The new file contains only the audio: tags (title, artist, cover art) are not copied.
Frequently asked questions
How long should the fade be?
To end a song, 3 to 8 seconds. For a podcast or a voice memo, 0.5 to 2 seconds is enough so it does not start or stop abruptly.
Which curve should I choose?
“Logarithmic” for music: the volume drops naturally. “Smooth” for speech or short transitions. “Linear” if you want the classic fade of basic editors.
Can I add only the fade-out?
Yes: leave the fade-in at 0 seconds and only the ending will be applied (and vice versa).
